Signature Series Art Direction

For Embrace Boston’s signature events — Embrace Honors MLK, Masso Con Salsa, and the Embrace Ideas Festival — I led art direction and developed the visual identity across platforms. From crafting the overall look and feel to designing event signage, creating motion graphics for large-scale screens, and producing social media graphics for promotion and engagement, my work helped shape the atmosphere and visual storytelling of each event.

Embrace Honors MLK

Logo Design

This event logo builds on Embrace Boston’s brand, pairing their iconic heart symbol with bold typography to reflect the power and purpose of the celebration. It honors Dr. King’s legacy while centering the joy, love, and leadership the event uplifts.

Event Illustration

This illustration reimagines Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King on the dance floor — a joyful, unexpected moment that honors their humanity, love, and legacy. Blending photo collage with bold color and graphic textures, the piece sets the tone for an evening rooted in celebration, connection, and collective joy.

Honoree Portrait Illustrations

As part of Embrace Honors MLK, I also created a series of photo illustrations celebrating couples whose work continues Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy — honoring their advocacy for equity, justice, and community. Each visual element was designed to reflect the purpose and spirit of these powerful gatherings.
