Motion Mami is the creative studio and moniker of Marlene Marmolejos — a director, motion designer, and illustrator. With over a decade of experience, she brings ideas to life through animation and develops visual worlds for brands, cultural organizations, and live experiences.
Her background includes working as a Senior Motion Designer at Wayfair and collaborating with brands such as Bumble and BET. Her practice spans brand storytelling, motion graphics, and art direction, with an approach that connects thoughtful design and cultural nuance.
Marlene’s Dominican heritage and love of Afro-Caribbean music shape her creative perspective. Through her original work, she explores identity and the everyday moments that connect people across the diaspora, creating space for communities to see themselves and their culture reflected in animation. She brings that same care for people and their stories to her client collaborations, from the first concept to the final frame.
